Step 1: Walk to the nearest MRT Station.

The closest station to Roxy Square 1 is Dakota Station (CC8).

Step 4: Take the MRT to Dakota Station. Remember to make necessary line transfers along the way.

Travel along the MRT to Dakota Station. Transfer lines if needed. 

Dakota Station has a neighbouring station to the north and to the south. Knowing these stations will allow you to move closer to the train exit as you approach Dakota.

Here are the two neighbouring stations to Dakota:

Paya Lebar (EW8/CC9) (north of Dakota)

Mountbatten (CC7) (south of Dakota)

Technically, you can reach Roxy Square 1 from these stations as well. It might just take you more time to get there!

Step 5: Alight when you arrive at Dakota Station (CC8).

Get off the train at Dakota Station. If it’s rush hour, make sure you are close to a door before the train stops. 


Step 6: Travel from the Train Platform at B2 to Level 1 at Dakota Station. 

Dakota Station is built under Old Airport Road, at the junction of Jalan Dua near Geylang River.

It consists of three levels:

Level 1 – Street Level 

B1 – Concourse

B2 – Train platforms

You will arrive at Level B2, where the train platforms are located. 

Travel up to Level 1 to access the station exits.

Step 7: Take Exit A at Dakota Station.

Dakota Station has two exits to choose from at street level, Exits A and B.

Take Exit A to access bus services to Roxy Square 1.


Step 8: Walk or Ride the bus from Dakota Station to Roxy Square 1.

After you Exit Dakota Station, you can either walk, cycle or take the bus to Roxy Square 1.

Since it takes around 20 minutes to walk, many people get there using the public bus, which is convenient to get right near Dakota Station. 


Bus Directions from Dakota Station (CC8) to Roxy Square 1

Exit A at Dakota Station will take you to Old Airport Road, directly north of the station.

Cross to the other side of Old Airport Road. 

Walk west until you reach the following bus stop:

Dakota Stn Exit A/Blk 99 – Stop ID: 81181

Wait at the bus stop, then get on Bus 10 or 32.

Stay on Bus 10/32 for 6 stops and then alight at

Opp Roxy Sq – Stop ID: 92111

Once you are off the bus, walk northeast on East Coast Road toward Ceylon Road.

Stay on East Coast Road and cross Ceylon. 

Take the pedestrian bridge south to cross East Coast Road. 

Continue walking south until you pass the Flow@East Coast until you reach Roxy Square 1. 

You should see it to your left (east).

Walking Directions from Dakota Station (CC8)

You can also walk or cycle from Dakota Station to Roxy Square 1. It will take you longer than the bus, but it’s a greener and healthier option. 

From the station, walk east along Old Airport Road until it converts into Dunman Road. 

Walk along Dunman Road.

Turn right onto Ceylon Road. 

Walk south along Ceylon Road until you reach East Coast Road. 

Take the pedestrian bridge south across East Coast Road.

Continue walking south until you pass the Flow@East Coast until you reach Roxy Square 1. 

You should see it to your left (east).

Other Points of Interest in Katong

Roxy Square 1 is located right in the heart of Katong’s famous shopping district. Several other malls are within 3-5 minutes’ walking distance from it. Once you get to this area, you should have no problem shopping for the day or checking out several cultural attractions along beautiful Joo Chiat Road. 

One of the most famous places to visit in Katong is the Peranakan Houses on Koon Seng Road (Directions). They are only 50 meters from Joo Chiat Road.

Also, consider walking north from Roxy Square to the Eurasian Heritage Gallery, Intan and Sri Senpaga Vinayagar Temple (Directions).

If you are hungry, check out Dunman Food Centre (Directions). It is a popular hawker centre to visit. It has limited parking, so you are best to use using public transport or by walking.

Geylang Serai Market (Directions) and Joo Chiat Complex (Directions) are two popular places to visit, but they are on the other side of Joo Chiat Road.
