Private Vehicle (Car)

As one of three IKEA stores in Singapore, IKEA Alexandra is a very popular destination for shoppers in the city. Therefore, it’s important to have clear instructions on how to get there and which forms of transportation provide you with the best and cheapest options.

Fortunately, Singapore has an extensive public transportation system that features organized and reliable bus and MRT routes through most city areas. Getting to IKEA Alexandra is no exception to this. If you stay near an MRT station, you can get there fast and affordably.

As you read through this guide, keep in mind that there are several considerations you should make about whether you should bring a vehicle to IKEA or use public transportation.

One of the most important factors is how much you plan on buying?

Since IKEA Alexandra sells everything from kitchen appliances to home furniture, many products are simply too large to bring on a bus or train. But there are lots and lots of smaller items that could be transported using public transportation.

You might want to consider taking public transportation to IKEA Alexandra and then use a taxi or private car to bring large products home. They also have shipping services to eliminate the need to carry large items back on your own. You are better off checking out attractions before going to IKEA if you plan on buying a lot of stuff.
